A tried-and-true family favorite from Becky's own recipe collection. Here's everything you need to make Fissler Spanish Rice at home.
Fissler Spanish Rice
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup small onion, diced
- 1 jalapeño, seeded & minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups rice
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 2/3 cup tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Place rice in a colander and rinse well.
- Turn on the Fissler to sauté.
- Once heated, add oil, onion, jalapeño & garlic.
- Sauté for 2–3 mins.
- Turn pot off.
- Add in stock and scrape up any browned bits on the bottom of the pot.
- Add in seasoning and stir well.
- Add in rice and gently push down with a spoon to submerge in stock.
- Top with tomato sauce. DO NOT STIR!
- Place lid on the pot and cook on the rice setting.
- Let pressure release naturally.
- Remove lid and fluff rice with a fork.
- Stir in butter.
