Homemade Biscuits
Makes 10 biscuits · ~165 calories per serving (estimated) · 13 min prep · 12 min cook
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup cold butter (shred with a cheese grater)
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- In a large bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut butter into the mixture. Add milk and stir.
- Turn onto a lightly floured surface, knead gently 8–10 times. Pat dough to 1 inch in thickness. Cut with a drinking glass.
- Place 1 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10–15 mins.
