Homemade Pancakes
Makes 8 pancakes · ~130 calories per serving (estimated)
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tbsp oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the egg, then whisk in the milk and oil.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir just until combined — a few lumps are fine.
- Heat a lightly greased griddle or skillet over medium heat and pour about 1/4 cup of batter per pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, 1–2 minutes, then flip and cook until golden on the other side.
- Serve warm with butter and syrup.
