A tried-and-true family favorite from Becky's own recipe collection. Here's everything you need to make Homemade Pie Crust at home.
Homemade Pie Crust
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 pound cold unsalted butter (2 sticks), diced into 1/4-inch pieces
- 6 tablespoon ice water
Instructions
- Add flour, sugar, and salt to a food processor.
- Pulse to combine.
- Dice butter into small pieces and add to the food processor.
- Pulse together until coarse with some small clumps of butter.
- Add 6 tablespoons of ice water to the food processor.
- Pulse until small clumps form.
- Dump mixture on a dry surface.
- Do not knead the dough.
- Divide into 2 flat disks.
- Wrap each disk in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
